Friday Fact Box - The Growth of eMarketing

by Katharina Scholtz on 2008/10/24

For today's Friday Fact Box I'd like to share just one fact that tells us a lot about the growth of online marketing.

A short while ago Jean did a comparative search using Google's oldest available index (which they released for their 10th birthday). He searched for the term eMarketing:

2001: About 43,100 results (0.01 seconds)
2008: About 11,100,000 results (0.22 seconds)

How has your perspective on online marketing changed since 2001?

It would nice to see that in relation to shift in search volumes over the period.

It would - my useful PPC trained friend Tammy tells me Google Insights can track search volume for the term from 2004 though.
