Ostrich Experiences Moment of Joy, Courtesy of Cadbury

by Dianne Shelton on 2010/08/22

The ostrich may be the largest bird in the world, and as we know it cannot fly. Yet Cadbury gives this poor fella a chance to experience a "moment of joy" by soaring out of a plane.

This advert created by Saatchi and Saatchi in Johannesburg was created for TV but has had almost 30 000 views on YouTube since it was uploaded a week ago. This ad continues Cadbury's "glass and a half" concept and follows on from 2007's drum-playing gorilla which now has over 4 million views on YouTube. Although not yet as popular as its gorilla counterpart, this advert is growing in popularity and doing its rounds on the Web. So which do you prefer, the gorilla or the ostrich?

I prefer the ostrich, but think that they should have used a different song. Maybe "I believe I can fly"?
