Ada Lovelace Day

The lack of role models for women in the tech industry has been an issue for many years. It was this which drove Suw Charman-Anderson last year to set up Ada Lovelace Day (Ada Lovelace wrote the world’s first computer programmes for the Analytical Engine). She aimed to get 1000 people to pledge to write a blog post about their favourite woman in tech. In the end, nearly 2000 people worldwide took part and it got huge publicity too. This year, Ada Lovelace Day will be on 24th March - so please pledge!
